Here's how we calculated the energy and CO₂e savings.

For energy cost saving:

Illustration assumes a display of 20 x A3 LED lightpockets powered 24/7. Assumes current rate of 26p per kWh. 20 Standard wattage A3 LED lightpocket cost 5.2p per hour, 20 Claralight™ A3 panels cost 3.1p per hour. Over a typical 8 year display lifecycle cost difference = £1400

For CO₂e calculation:

3.1p/hr at £0.26/kWh ⇒ 0.11923 kWh/hr / 5.2p/hr at £0.26/kWh ⇒ 0.20000 kWh/hr Difference ⇒ 0.08077 kWh/hr / 24/7 for 8 years ≈ 70,128 hours ⇒ ~5,664 kWh saved Convert kWh → CO₂e using UK grid factors 0.22535 kg CO₂e/kWh (incl. transmission & distribution, DEFRA 2024) ⇒ ~1,276 kg CO₂e saved
