Birmingham’s premier comedy venue has hosted legends such as Jack Dee, Lenny Henry, Jasper Carrot – and now the Mid West Displays installation team!
We were asked to upgrade the display at the hugely popular venue – still going strong after almost 30 years. The team at The Glee knew exactly what to expect with our act as we had previously completed display projects at their Glasgow and Cardiff clubs.
For Birmingham we supplied ten new screens for the interior and exterior of the venue.
A hard act to follow
A total of eight 50” digital menu boards were installed in the club. These bestselling screens help deliver promotional content clearly and dynamically to customers. With a commercial grade IPS panel with a brightness of 450cd/m2 (twice the brightness of domestic televisions) this Digital Menu Board can reproduce and maintain the ultimate colour temperature for lifelike images even in challenging lighting environments such as bars, restaurants – and legendary comedy clubs.
A couple of other features make them a great operation for marketing-savvy organisations: multi-screen synchronisation allows to high-impact marketing, and powerful integrated speakers allow you to add a suitable sound to your marketing.
Our digital menu boards come fully Networked and include a free 1yr CMS subscription so you can easily access marketing and management tools such as templates, user management and scheduling software.
Perfect outdoor OOH come rain or come shown
Promoting the club events to busy passing footfall of Birmingham’s Arcadian Centre are two smart 43” outdoor digital posters. With their smart tablet-styling and no external controls, they make the perfect choice digital OOH choice
We use Ultra High Brightness panels (2,500 cd/m2) more than 4 times brighter than a standard LCD panel to allow easy readability even in Birmingham’s harshest direct sunlight and the glass frontage is also anti-reflective to help defuse direct sunlight shining on the display, improving overall clarity.
And in case of Birmingham’s more likely rain these are designed with a robust, corrosion protected, outer casing to give protection from both the elements and the public. The outer casing has an IP65 rating which means it keeps out all airborne swarf, dust and other particles as well as being protected from any wet weather conditions.
For a first class show the Glee Club team asked our installation team to fit the screens at the venue. With 100s of previous performances fitting the latest digital kit under their belt, the team were able to install quickly, tidily and with minimum disruption to the location. Any resemble to the Chuckle Brothers is purely co-incidental!
And with a free 3yr warranty and free lifetime tech support on all our digital screen range the Club can concentrate solely on bringing joy and laughter to the West Midlands.
