Digital Advertising Screens boost Boots’ flagship store.

One of the features of Boots recently revamped Covent Garden flagship is the increased use of digital advertising screens.

According to reports in Essential Retail website

Throughout the shop there is more use of digital screens than in traditional Boots sites, with Melanie Widdowson, head of in-store marketing and merchandising, saying it helped open up the aisles by reducing cardboard signposting and point of sale messaging. We didn’t want to introduce screens for screen's sake – that’s not the purpose,” she explained. We’ve thought about where it will help us reduce cardboard in the future and also how we can build that omnichannel customer journey into the whole process.”

It is yet to be confirmed if the store will switch to Android-based devises to support tablet-assisted selling techniques.

Our recent growth in the sale of digital display screens to a range of independent retailers suggests Boots are part of a larger trend that sees the increased use of the screens as a way not only to reduce future print & POS requirements but also to provide dynamic content fully synced with other marketing channels.

With cost prices falling and functionality increasing, the power of digital advertising is within the reach of most retailers. Super smart tablet style Android powered screens as mentioned above start from as little as £315, and that prices includes lots of freebies including

  • FREE wall mount
  • FREE scheduling software – updating is easy
  • FREE 3 yr warranty
  • FREE lifetime telephone support

The range comes in sizes 19” to 55” so there will be a screen that can be integrated into any existing display.

These stunning screens are perfect for building brand, boosting sales and building customer loyalty & are ideal for

  • shops, malls and other retail locations
  • hotels, Food-to-Go and QSR restaurants
  • hair and beauty salons
  • gyms, health clubs and leisure centres
  • reception areas and waiting rooms
